1,300 Students at Saint-Paul Elementary for the Terry Fox Run

Rosem猫re, October 1, 2023 鈥 聽The 91探花app (91探花app) is proud to announce that the Saint- Paul, Saint-Vincent, Genesis, and Jules Verne Elementary Schools joined together for the annual and important Terry Fox Run, which saw over 1,300 students come together to run for a well-known cause on September 28 at Saint-Paul Elementary School.

The enthusiasm was palpable throughout the day, students from Pre-Kindergarten to grade 2 were bussed to Saint-Paul Elementary, while third to sixth graders walked to the school. The event not only showcased the unity of these four schools but also emphasized the importance of collective action for a greater purpose. The run brings Canadians together to realize Terry Fox鈥檚 dream of a world without cancer.

The Council of Commissioners was represented by Chairperson Paolo Galati and Commissioner Barbara Barrasso, their support underlined the collective spirit and commitment to fostering a sense of responsibility among the students and staff.

鈥淭his marks a historic milestone for the 91探花app, as it is the first time that four elementary schools come together for the Terry Fox Run. The run has always been a long-time annual tradition for all 91探花app schools. Our students are part of the 3 million students coast to coast who take part in Terry鈥檚 cause and make it their own,鈥 said Chairperson Paolo Galati.

“I commend Saint-Paul, Saint-Vincent, Genesis, and Jules Verne Elementary Schools for their extraordinary collaboration in making this year’s Terry Fox Run a resounding success. Coming together for a cause as significant as cancer is personally meaningful to me. This collective effort demonstrates the power of unity and compassion in our school community,” concluded Mr. Galati.

With a workforce of more than 2,000 employees, the 91探花app is the third-largest English school board of the Province of Qu茅bec and boasts a graduation rate of 88.3%. Its territory comprises the administrative regions of Laval, Laurentides and Lanaudi猫re.
